NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts PAC Endorses Kate Lipper-Garabedian

BOSTON, Mass. — NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts PAC, the political arm of the Commonwealth’s leading grassroots pro-choice advocacy organization, today proudly endorsed Kate Lipper-Garabedian for State Representative in the 32nd Middlesex District. Lipper-Garabedian’s commitment to championing reproductive freedom, including the ROE Act, earned her the endorsement.

Kate’s passion for advocating for reproductive freedom was clear from an early age. When she was 16-years-old, Kate penned an Op-Ed in the teen section of the Richmond Times Dispatch warning about the dangerous implications of a new Virginia law that would force many young people to go to court to access abortion care. It is only fitting that she’s running for state representative when the ROE Act, which would repeal this type of harmful law, is gaining momentum in the state legislature.

“Kate is the kind of leader the residents of the 32nd Middlesex District need on Beacon Hill. The kind of leader who will lead with actions, not just words, and who has dedicated her career to serving others,” said Rebecca Hart Holder, Executive Director of NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts. “The 32nd Middlesex District seat has an important pro-choice tradition, having been previously held by reproductive freedom champions Melrose Mayor Paul Brodeur and Congresswoman Katherine Clark. Early on, it was clear to us that Kate would be able to continue this tradition. We look forward to watching her build her legacy as a reproductive freedom champion and tireless advocate for her constituents.”

“I’m excited to receive this endorsement from an organization whose mission I share and support wholeheartedly,” Lipper-Garabedian said. “Everyone should be allowed to make decisions about their bodies and medical care without political interference. I don’t take the responsibility that comes with this endorsement lightly. I will work every day to make sure that my constituents and the people of our Commonwealth have access to the reproductive health services they need. Advancing a reproductive freedom agenda will be a top priority in office, and that starts with passing the ROE Act.”

The special election for the 32nd Middlesex District seat takes place on Tuesday, March 3. NARAL Pro-Choice Massachusetts PAC encourages voters in the district to go to the polls and vote for Kate Lipper-Garabedian.
