Ten Melrose City Councilors and School Committee Members Endorse Kate!

MELROSE – On Monday, seven Melrose City Councilors and three Melrose School Committee members announced their official endorsements of Kate Lipper-Garabedian’s campaign for State Representative for the 32nd Middlesex District. Lipper-Garabedian, a Melrose City Councilor, is a candidate in the special election to replace former Representative Paul Brodeur.

“As a Melrose School Committee Member and parent, I’m very proud to support Kate’s campaign for State Representative,” said Jen McAndrew, Melrose School Committee Member.  “Through her career as a public school educator and now an attorney for the Commonwealth, Kate has dedicated her professional life to public service. She has served on the City Council with distinction, demonstrating a thorough approach to every issue and keeping us all informed. Kate knows what it takes to delve into the details to develop good policy, involve the community in decision-making, and achieve results on the state and local level.”

“I knew Kate first as her constituent and now as her colleague and I have always been confident that she is working to improve the lives of the people she represents,” said Jack Eccles, Melrose City Councilor At-Large. “Kate’s passion for the issues runs deep and I know it is what drove her into this race to begin with. Knowing Kate, she will be able to help our Commonwealth make strides on everything from transportation to education. I am confident that Kate will be able to deliver for children in the district as a State Representative because she has been walking the walk on improving educational outcomes her entire professional career.”

“I’m honored to have the endorsements of my colleagues on the Melrose City Council and School Committee,” said Kate-Lipper-Garabedian, Candidate for State Representative. “They’ve witnessed first-hand my passion for making a difference and share my vision for a better future. With their support, I will ensure that the 32nd Middlesex District is represented by someone who believes passionately in the role government can play in supporting individuals and their families.”

"It's been a pleasure working with someone like Kate who cares so much about the impact we as a Council have on the City of Melrose," said Chris Cinella, Melrose City Councilor At-Large. "I feel confident that she will do just as much for our constituents if elected State Representative and that is why I hope you will join me in voting for Kate Lipper-Garabedian on February 4th."

"Kate has a fresh vision for our district and the will power to get us there,” said Leila Migliorelli, Melrose City Councilor-at-Large.  “I look forward to seeing her work hard on our behalf which is why I'm endorsing her candidacy for State Representative."

"When Kate runs a committee meeting, that's one of the ones to watch," said Jeff McNaught, Ward 2 City Councilor. "As a lifelong Melrosian and a newcomer on the City Council, I've observed her consistency and feel fortunate to work beside Kate.
